Jay Khodiyar Steel

Jay Khodiyar Steel is based in the Nehrunagar Industrial Area, which is a pretty gritty part of town near the Virani Aghat. We are located right by the Kamnath Weigh Bridge on the NH-8B highway. It is an industrial zone, so there are always big trucks rumbling past and the sound of heavy machinery in the distance. Our work involves a lot of steel, as you might guess from the name. We deal with heavy pipes, rods, and different metal sections that people need for building things. The shop itself is more like a warehouse, with stacks of steel piled up and the smell of metal in the air. It’s hard, physical work moving this stuff around, and our clothes usually end up covered in grease or rust by the end of the day. Being near the weigh bridge is handy because many of our customers are already stopping there with their vehicles. We don't have a shiny storefront because that's not what's needed in an industrial area. People just want to get their steel and get back to their construction sites. It is hot and loud, but we like the pace of it. We have been part of this industrial community for years, and we know how to handle the heavy lifting that comes with the job. Most of the time we are just busy loading and unloading the trucks that pull up. It's not a fancy life, but we keep the metal moving.
