Krishna Casting

Our shop, Krishna Casting, is situated in the Kailash Industrial Area, right near the Mahadev Foundry and Swati Vishwamangal. It is a rugged part of the city where the air always smells a bit like smoke and hot metal. We spend our days working with molds and pouring molten material to create different parts. It is heavy, physical work that requires a lot of patience and a high tolerance for heat. The floors are usually covered in sand and soot, and we don't bother trying to keep things looking pristine because it’s just not that kind of place. We have a few guys who have been doing casting work for decades, and they have a feel for the metal that you just can't learn from a book. Sometimes a casting doesn't set right and we have to melt it down and start all over again, which can be a real pain. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room; if you come to see us, you’ll probably find us near the furnace or moving heavy crates around. It’s a loud, busy environment, but there is a clear order to how we do things. We’ve stayed in this industrial area because it’s where all the action is for businesses like ours. We just keep our heads down, do the work, and try to make sure every piece that leaves the shop is solid.
