You’ll find us on Gondal Road, right behind the Maldhari Hotel in Village Kothariya. It’s a bit of a drive out from the main part of Rajkot, but the industrial area here is where all the real work happens. We do metal casting and craft work, which means the furnaces are going most of the day and it gets pretty warm inside. The address says 360002, but most people just look for the hotel and turn off there. We’ve got a mix of heavy machinery and hand tools scattered around the floor. It’s a place where we get our hands dirty every single day. There’s a lot of noise from the grinders and the sound of metal hitting metal, so you have to talk loud to be heard. Most of the guys here are from the nearby villages and they know their way around a mold. We don't have a big fancy reception area, just a small office where the files are kept. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of living in this area. We take our lunch breaks together under the shade when we can. It’s honest work making things out of raw metal. We’ve been here quite some time and have seen the village grow into more of an industrial hub. It’s a tough environment but we’re used to the heat and the hard work.
