Jay Yamuna Metal

Jay Yamuna Metal is based in Kothariya, near the Rolex Bearing area. We are right opposite the Krishna Park Hotel and very close to the Maldhari Railway Crossing. You can hear the trains passing by quite often, which is something we have just gotten used to over the years. The shop is an industrial space where we handle different kinds of metal work. It is not a very pretty place, just a lot of raw materials, heavy tools, and the smell of iron. The roof is made of metal sheets, so it gets very hot in the summer and quite loud when it rains. We do not have a dedicated office space, just a small desk in the corner where we keep our receipts and a ledger. Most of our time is spent moving heavy pieces around and working on whatever orders have come in. The road outside can be quite dusty or muddy depending on the weather, especially with all the heavy vehicles going toward the crossing. We are just a small part of the industrial landscape here in Kothariya. We know the people at the hotel and the other workshops nearby. It is hard work and our hands are usually covered in grease by the end of the shift. We do not have any big signs, just the work we do every day at our spot near the tracks.
