Shyam Metals

We've been at Plot No. 151 in Gidc 2 for a long time now. It’s right on E Road in the Aji Vasahat area of Rajkot. Most days it’s just us getting through the orders and making sure the metal work is done right. It gets pretty loud in the workshop sometimes, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with this kind of stuff. My father started things out and now we just keep it moving. People know where we are because we’ve stayed in the same spot for years. The traffic on E Road can be a bit much in the mornings when everyone is heading to their sheds. We don't really do much fancy talk here. We just focus on the job at hand. Sometimes the machines act up or the power cuts for a bit, but we find a way around it. It's a regular industrial life in Rajkot. We see the same faces every day, mostly other workers and truck drivers dropping off materials. It’s a dusty place, especially in the summer months, but it’s home for us. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small space to sit and handle the paperwork while the main work happens out back. It’s basic, honest work. We try to get things out on time so nobody is waiting too long. That’s pretty much what Shyam Metals is about, just getting the day's work finished.
