Taloo Steel

Our shop is right there at Ashwin Chowk in Upleta. Most folks know the spot because we’re so close to Faruqui Masjid and the old Ashwin Cinema. It’s a busy corner of town with a lot of movement every day. We deal mostly in steel, keeping various types of sheets and rods in the yard. It gets pretty dusty and cluttered with all the trucks coming in and out, but that’s just how it goes when you’re moving heavy metal around all day. It’s just a handful of us working here. We don’t have any fancy office or a lobby with air conditioning. Usually, you’ll find us out in the yard or sitting on the stools near the entrance. If you need something cut to a specific size, we can usually handle it while you wait, unless we’re backed up with a big order. We’ve seen a lot of local houses and shops get built using the stuff from our stacks over the years. We try to keep things organized, but it’s a constant battle with the inventory. People just drop by when they need something because they know we’re usually around from morning until evening. It’s honest work and we’ve been doing it a while now. Upleta is a good place to be, and we like being part of the community here near the cinema. Just look for the big stacks of metal and you will see us.
