Somanath Techno Cast

Somanath Techno Cast is located out in Kherdi, right on the Gondal Road. It's a stretch of the national highway that stays busy all night and day. If you're driving down, you’ll see the Shyam Mandir across from us. It’s a good spot because the temple is a clear marker for anyone trying to find where we are. We deal with casting work here. The floor is usually covered in sand and metal scraps. It’s the kind of place where you don't wear your good clothes because they'll just get ruined in an hour. We have a small crew and we’ve been at this for some time now. The noise from the highway is something you just get used to after a week. Sometimes it's hard to hear each other talk when the big trucks go by. We keep the doors open mostly to let the heat out from the casting process. It gets stuffy inside otherwise. We don't have a big sign or a lobby. Just the workshop and the yard where we keep the materials. We do our work, drink some tea, and head home when the sun goes down. It's simple. Most of our neighbors are doing similar industrial stuff. It’s a hardworking part of town. Sometimes the rain makes the road muddy, but we still keep the foundry running as much as we can because there is always work to finish.
