Shiv Shakti Season Store

Shiv Shakti Season Store is located in the Kundaliya Building in Rajkot. It is a pretty well-known building in this part of town. The interesting thing about running a season store is that what we have inside changes all the time depending on the month. One month we might be surrounded by kites for Uttarayan, and the next it could be colors for Holi or decorations for Diwali. This keeps the shop feeling different every few months. The Kundaliya Building is an older structure, and it has a lot of character. We don’t have a massive space, so we have to be very clever about how we stack things up to the ceiling. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze when we get a fresh shipment of seasonal goods in. People in Rajkot know this area well, and we get a lot of locals just dropping in to see what we’ve got out on the shelves this week. It is a simple life, moving from one festival to the next. The shop doesn't have fancy air conditioning or bright neon signs, just the basics that we need to serve the people who come in. We like the pace of things here. Some days are incredibly busy with customers, and other days we just sit and organize the stock. It is just how we do things at the store.
