Moviya Road is always a bit dusty, especially around Reti Chowk where we are. Saurashtra Fabrication And Manufacturing has been sitting here for quite some time now. Most days it is just the sound of metal hitting metal and the smell of welding. It is not a fancy place, just a workshop with tools scattered on the benches and grease on the floor. People come by with all sorts of requests for iron work or parts they need fixed for their own jobs. Sometimes we are backed up with orders and the yard gets crowded with raw steel and finished pieces waiting to go out. We just try to get through the pile every day. My hands are usually stained by the time I go home. It is honest work. The heat from the machines can get pretty bad in the afternoons, but we have some fans going to keep the air moving. If you walk past the Reti Chowk area, you’ll probably hear us before you see the sign. It’s just how it is in this part of town. We don't spend much time on decorations or making the front look pretty because the work happens in the back. It’s about getting the measurements right and making sure things hold together like they should. Nothing more to it than that. Just a local shop doing what we know how to do on Moviya Road.
