Sardar Steel Industries

M G Road is where you'll find us. We're at Survey No.176/186. It's a bit of a dusty spot but it works for what we do. Sardar Steel Industries has been around this area for a bit. We spend a lot of time out in the yard or near the gates. There’s always a truck backing in or pulling out. The ground is mostly dirt and gravel, so it gets messy when it rains. We don't have a big polished lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will be there to help you. We deal with a lot of heavy steel pieces. My boots are usually covered in some kind of metal dust by the end of the shift. It’s just the nature of the work. Sometimes we lose track of time when a big order comes in. The sun gets hot out here, especially in the afternoons. We have a small office area to handle the billing, but most of the action happens where the steel is kept. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the flashiest place on M G Road. We just want to make sure the steel gets to where it needs to be. It’s honest work, even if it’s loud and a bit chaotic at times. We’ve got a good rhythm going now. It’s just a bunch of us doing what we know how to do. Some days are long, but that is the way it is in this industry.
