Ram Metal

Ram Metal is tucked away behind the petrol pump on Kothariya Ring Road. We are at Plot No.5 in the Radha Meera Industrial Area. Being behind the petrol pump is actually quite handy because everyone knows where that is. The Ring Road is always busy with people heading in and out of the city. Our spot is a bit quieter since we are set back a little. We spend our days working with different types of metal. It’s heavy work and can be pretty tiring on the back. The workshop is filled with the smell of iron and the sound of machines running. We have a small team here. Most of us have been doing this for years. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that we keep up with. We just focus on the metal parts sitting in front of us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit around and wait, which is just part of life here. We get along with the guys at the petrol pump. It’s a practical place to work. No one wears a suit here. We wear boots and old shirts that can handle the sparks and grease. It’s just how we earn a living. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard, so we usually try to do the heaviest lifting in the morning hours. It keeps the sweat down a little bit.
