Rajeshwar Metal

Rajeshwar Metal is located in Murlidhar Estate, which is right out on the Gondal-Rajkot Road. If you are driving that way, you can’t miss us because we are directly opposite the Pramukh Tractor showroom and just behind the Kishan Petrol Pump. It’s a good spot for us because the trucks have plenty of room to turn around. We deal mostly in various types of metal, mostly bulk stuff that comes in on big lorries. The yard is usually full of stacks of iron and steel. It’s a dusty place, especially when the wind picks up off the main road. We don't wear suits or sit in fancy chairs here. Most of the day is spent checking weights and moving material around with the crane. It’s hard work on the back, but it’s what we’ve always done. My family has been in the metal trade for a long time. We know the difference between good stock and junk just by looking at it. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are and they come by when they need a load of metal for a project. It’s a loud, busy environment with the sound of metal clanging all day long. We close up when the sun goes down and start again early the next morning. It is a practical business without any of the extra fluff you see in the city shops.
