Raghuvir Foundry

Raghuvir Foundry sits on Plot No. G-1874/1, right on the Kishan Gate Main Road in the Metoda G.I.D.C. area. It is a heavy, dusty part of town where everyone is busy making something or other. Our place is usually pretty hot because of the nature of the work, and you can feel the heat coming off the floor even on days when we aren't running at full capacity. We have been in this spot for a while, and the walls are darkened by years of soot and hard work. It isn't the kind of place you’d wear a nice suit to. Most of us are covered in dust by lunch time. Speaking of lunch, we usually just sit together in a shaded corner of the yard to eat what we brought from home. The traffic on the main road outside is constant, especially with the big trucks coming through Kishan Gate, so there is always a layer of road dust on everything. We have a routine that we stick to, starting early before the sun gets too high and staying until the day's pour is finished. The equipment we use is old but sturdy, and we know exactly how to handle it to get the results we need. It is a tough environment, but there is a lot of satisfaction in seeing the finished pieces stacked up near the exit. We are just a group of local people doing a job that needs doing.
