Poonam Refractories

Poonam Refractories is located right in the Main Bazar area of Wankaner. We are on Bazar Road, which is usually pretty crowded with people going about their business. If you are looking for us, we are quite close to the Shiv Mandir. You can usually hear the temple bells from where we sit. Dealing with refractories means we spend a lot of time thinking about heat and materials that can stand up to it. It is not the most glamorous job, but it is necessary for the industries around here. Wankaner is a place where people know each other, so we see a lot of familiar faces coming through the shop. We keep the place open and just try to stay on top of the inventory. Sometimes the dust gets everywhere, but that is just part of the trade. We don't have a big corporate team or anything. It is just us here in the bazaar. We handle the orders as they come in and try to make sure things are where they need to be. Life in the main market is fast, but we have our own rhythm at Poonam Refractories. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The bricks and materials we keep are heavy, and moving them takes a bit of effort. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the work gets done without too much fuss. It is a straightforward way to make a living.
