Orient Metal is situated in Shapar Village, which falls under the Kotda Sangani Taluka. We are right near the Krishan Gate. It’s a dusty part of the country, lots of small factories and workshops all around. We deal with metal here. It’s loud, it’s hot, and there is always the smell of iron in the air. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s just the workshop floor and a small area where we keep the papers. The guys working here are from the village or nearby. We spend our days cutting, bending, or moving metal sheets and rods. It’s hard work on the back, but we’re used to it. The trucks come in with raw materials and leave with whatever we’ve put together. We don’t have a website or anyone to answer the phones in a professional way. Usually, someone just wipes their hands on a rag and picks up if they hear it ringing over the machines. Shapar is a busy hub for this kind of stuff, so we just fit right in. We’ve been in this spot for years. The building is old, but it stays standing and keeps the rain off the machines. That’s all we really need to get the job done. Sometimes we sit outside by the gate during breaks just to get a bit of fresh air. It is a noisy life but it's what we do to keep things moving.
