Om Ashish Engineering Co. is tucked away at Survey No. 235, Plot No. 37, in Rave Chi Nagar. To get to us, you have to go behind Samrat Granite and we are near the old toll naka on Nh-8, which is the Gondal Road. It is out in Village Kothariya, so it feels a bit more rural than the city workshops. We do all kinds of engineering jobs here. The space is filled with metal scraps and various machines that we use for cutting and shaping. Since we are near the highway, there is always the sound of trucks zooming past. The workshop doesn't have much in the way of comfort. It is just a place to work. We spend our hours measuring, welding, and grinding. It is a lot of manual labor and the days can be long. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy logo. People find us because they need something made or repaired and they heard we were out here. Sometimes we work on farm equipment and other times it is parts for trucks. The floor is concrete and usually covered in metal shavings. We take our breaks when we can and try to stay out of the direct sun. It is a quiet existence despite the noise of the tools. We just take one job at a time and try to finish it properly before starting the next one. That is our routine every day.
