We are right opposite the Lathia Motor Garage, which is usually how people find their way here. The road is always loud with traffic and the sounds of the garage across from us. We make all sorts of furniture using steel, like cupboards, racks, and bed frames. It is a noisy business and my hands are usually covered in some kind of dust or oil by the time the afternoon rolls around. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for years. We don't have a big office with air conditioning; we just have the workshop where all the action happens. Sometimes we struggle to find enough space for all the inventory, especially when we have several big orders going at the same time. We don't do a lot of talking or sales pitches. People come in, tell us what they need, and we tell them how long it will take to make it. It’s a very straightforward way of doing business. We aren't trying to change the world, we are just trying to make solid furniture that doesn't break. It’s a simple shop and we like it that way. We just focus on the steel and the tools.
