J. K. Metals

J. K. Metals is out by the Kothariya Ring Road. It’s a good spot for us because the big trucks can get in and out without getting stuck in the middle of town. There is always some dust flying around because of the heavy traffic on the ring road and the metal we move around. We deal with various types of metal pieces and scraps all day long. The yard is usually full of piles that we need to sort through. It’s heavy work and my hands are usually stained by the end of the shift. We’ve got a small shed where we keep the tools and take our breaks when it gets too hot outside. It’s not very quiet here with the sound of the road and the metal clanging together. We started small and just kept at it over the years. Some days the weather is rough and it makes working outside a bit of a struggle, but we get through it. People driving by usually see us working near the gates. It’s a straightforward business where we just focus on the inventory we have. There isn’t much to look at besides the stacks of iron and steel. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we’re here on the edge of the road. It’s a long day from start to finish, but that’s just how it is in this line of work. We usually close up when it starts to get dark and head home for some rest. Tomorrow it starts all over again.
