Jay Steel Cutting

This is Jay Steel Cutting. We aren't a hair shop like a lot of the others around here. We are located at 17 Bhaktinagar Station Plot. It’s right opposite the Ambika Weigh Bridge Street. If you go into the Bhaktinagar St Plot area, you’ll find us in the Bhaktinagar Society part of Rajkot, 360002. This is more of an industrial or workshop kind of area. We deal with steel, cutting it to the sizes people need for their projects or buildings. It’s noisy work. You have the sound of the saws and the smell of metal everywhere. It’s not a clean office job, that’s for sure. My clothes usually have some dust on them by the end of the day. We’ve been in this spot for years. The weigh bridge across the street is a good landmark because everyone knows where that is. We get a lot of local builders and people doing home repairs coming through. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting the beams and making sure the cuts are straight. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything. We just take the orders and get the steel cut. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them, but that's just part of the business. It’s a tough trade, but it’s what we do here in Bhaktinagar. We’re just a small workshop doing our best to get things done right. Every day is different.
