Jagnath Machine Tools

Our shop, Jagnath Machine Tools, is tucked away in Sorath Estate in the Atika area of Rajkot. If you are coming down Dhebar Road South, you just have to look for the Kanta Gas Godown. We are right near there. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of noise and metal moving around. Being in Rajkot, you see a lot of people in this line of work, but we’ve got our own little corner here. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil because that is just how machine tool shops are. We don't spend much time cleaning up for show, only for safety. There’s a handful of us working here. Most of the guys have been with us for years and they know the machines better than they know their own cars. It’s a bit hot in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but we keep the tea coming and the machines running. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Gujarat. We just want to do the work right so the machines don't come back with problems. People come to us from all over the local area because they know where we sit. It’s a practical business. We use our hands, we use the tools, and we go home tired at the end of the day.
