Jadeshwar Casting

We are over at 3-Kailashpati Industrial Society. It’s right across from Nehru Nagar on Dhebar Road South. This part of Rajkot is really known for casting work. We’ve got our setup here and we stay pretty busy most months. The shop is full of molds and scrap metal waiting to be melted down. It is noisy and there is always a bit of smoke in the air from the furnace. We aren't trying to look professional for some corporate brochure. We just want to make sure the castings come out solid and without cracks. We deal with a lot of local businesses. People often drop by with hand-drawn sketches or old parts they need a copy of. We have a tiny office but we are usually out on the floor getting our hands dirty. The heat from the furnace is something you just get used to after a while. We take our tea breaks in the shade outside. The road out front is always busy with heavy trucks and auto-rickshaws. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. Our neighbors do similar metal work, so there is a lot of movement in the street. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We melt stuff and shape it. It’s basic work but it is very necessary for the local industry. Sometimes we work late to finish a big batch. That's just the way life goes here at Atika on Dhebar Road.
