I. R. Metals

We are located in the Shakti building over in Khodiyar Nagar. It’s right behind the P & T Colony on Gondal Road. The area is quite industrial, so there’s always the sound of metal clanging or trucks reversing nearby. Our place is basically a big workshop with high ceilings and a lot of metal scraps and sheets lying around. It’s usually quite warm because of the nature of the work and the open layout. We don’t have an air-conditioned office; we just have a small cabin with a desk and some chairs where we handle the invoices. The floor is stained with oil and there’s metal dust everywhere, but that’s expected in this line of work. We handle various types of metal every day, and it’s a very physical job. Most of us have been working with metal for years, so we don't need much instruction on what to do. The location on Gondal Road is good for getting materials in and out, though the dust from the road can be a bit much sometimes. We are just a local metal shop doing our bit. We don't have a website with fancy photos or anything like that. People know us because we’ve been here for a while and they see the work we do. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living and we don't plan on changing how we do things anytime soon.
