Hindustan Steel Co.

Our yard is over at Aji Industrial Estate in the G.I.D.C. Phase-II area, specifically at Plot No. 187. If you know Rajkot, you know this part of town is all about industry and metal. Hindustan Steel Co. is basically a place where we manage steel stocks and handle orders for local builders and manufacturers. It’s a very open space, mostly because we need the room for the long beams and heavy sheets of steel we keep on hand. It’s always dusty here, and the sun beats down on the metal all day, making it hot to the touch. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our day is spent checking inventory, loading trucks with the crane, and talking to drivers about where they need to go next. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we keep the ledgers and the phone, but we’re rarely sitting down for long. The industrial estate is a busy place, and we’ve been a part of it for years. We know the other business owners on the street and we all just try to get through the day’s tasks. We don’t do any big advertising or use complicated words to describe what we do. We just sell steel, move it from one place to another, and try to keep our customers happy so they come back next time they need materials. It isn't a complex operation, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without fail.
