Grip Metal Craft

Grip Metal Craft has its workshop at Door No-8 in Mani Nagar. We are right in the Mavdi Plot area, very close to Rupali Foundry. You can usually hear the sound of our work before you actually see the building because working with metal is a noisy business. There is a lot of cutting, banging, and the hum of the machines running for most of the day. It gets pretty hot inside the shed, especially during the summer months, but we try to keep the big front doors wide open to catch any breeze that comes through. We started out years ago with just a couple of hand tools and now the whole place is packed with heavy equipment. There is not much room to walk around when we are in the middle of a big project. The floor is almost always covered in tiny metal shavings no matter how many times we try to sweep it up. We handle all kinds of metal work, mostly just the custom stuff that local people bring in to us. It is a messy job and our clothes are always stained with some kind of grease or dark soot. We don't have a website or a sales team; people usually just hear about us from their neighbors or other shops in the neighborhood. Sometimes we sit on the wooden benches outside when we take a quick tea break. It’s hard work, but it is what we do.
