Evershine Metals. is located out in Kotharia. If you know the area, you know it is full of small shops and factories like ours. We work with different types of metal every day. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy stuff around the floor. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or nice chairs. We just have a desk in the corner where we keep the books and take calls. The name sounds a bit bright, but mostly we are dealing with raw pieces that need a lot of work before they look like anything. We spend our hours cutting, bending, and sometimes polishing. The sound of the saws is something you just get used to after a while. We aren't a huge company with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the machines. Sometimes we get a big order and we have to stay late to finish it, and other times it’s a bit slower. We take the work as it comes. Kotharia is a good place for this kind of business because everything we need is nearby. We don't really have a philosophy or a grand plan for the future. We just want to make the parts right so they can be used for whatever they are meant for. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. We sweep up at night and start over tomorrow.
