Calypso Music

Calypso Music is situated on Kalawad Road in Rajkot. We have been in this same spot for a while now, and if you live in this part of the city, you have probably driven past our door many times. We deal with music and all kinds of sound equipment. It is a loud place most days because there is always someone testing out a speaker or checking a microphone to see if it works. We are not a high-end studio with fancy carpets or soundproofing. It is a practical shop where musicians and local event organizers come to get what they need for their shows. We know our way around cables, mixers, and amplifiers. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cluttered with all the gear lying around, but we know where every single piece is. People come to us when they have a party or a small concert and need the sound to be loud enough for everyone to hear. We do not talk much about technical acoustics in a scientific way; we just know what sounds right for a Rajkot crowd. The traffic on Kalawad Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, but we are usually here late anyway. It is a small team of us who actually like music. We are not really salesy people. If a piece of equipment is old or temperamental, we will tell you straight. If it works, it works. We just enjoy being around the local music scene and helping out where we can.
