Shri Ashok Pauwa Factory

We started this place right by the Railway Siding Road in Lati Bazar a long time ago. It’s a busy spot in Bhojpara and you can always hear the trains coming and going while we work. Making pauwa is what we do here every single day. The machines run loud and there is rice dust everywhere but that’s just how it is in a factory. We get the raw rice in and process it until it is flat and ready for the market. It is not fancy work but it keeps us busy from morning till the sun goes down. Most of the people working here have been with us for years so we all know the routine pretty well. Sometimes the weather makes things a bit slow especially when it rains hard because the dampness isn't good for the grain. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the bags are filled right. People in the market know where to find us if they need stock. We don't spend much time sitting around talking because there is always another load of rice waiting. It gets hot in the afternoons under the shed but we just drink some tea and get back to it. Our location near the tracks makes it easy for transport even if it is noisy. It’s just a normal factory doing normal work every day of the week. We don’t have a big office or anything just the workspace and the storage area.
