Atkotiya Casting

Atkotiya Casting is found at Plot No. 155, Mira Udyog, right on the Ring Road. It is a busy location and we see a lot of traffic passing by all day long. We do foundry work here, mostly casting different kinds of metal parts. It is a very hot job because of the furnaces. We have to wear protective gear, but it still gets quite sweaty in there. We have a small group of guys who have been doing this for a long time. We don't use a lot of fancy computer stuff. Most of it is done by hand and by eye. We make our own sand molds and it takes a lot of patience to get them right. If you rush it, the casting will have bubbles or cracks. We have a lot of old tools that have been passed down through the years. They work just fine for what we need. The workshop isn't very big and it is usually pretty dark inside except for the glow of the metal. We don't have any big titles or a fancy hierarchy. We just all pitch in and get the work done. Sometimes the Ring Road gets blocked up and we have trouble getting our supplies, but we just wait it out. It is a simple business. We just make the castings and hope the parts work the way people need them to. We don't ask for much more than that.
