Ashok Iron Steel Fabricat. P. Ltd.

We spend most of our days at the workshop in Ashok Udyog Bhavan over in the Mavdi area of Rajkot. It’s a busy spot and we’ve been working with iron and steel here for quite some time now. The place is usually filled with the sound of grinders and welding machines, which is just how a fabrication shop is. We don't have any flashy signs or a big reception desk because we’re usually out on the floor getting our hands dirty. It’s a small group of us handling the daily jobs that come through. Sometimes it’s big structural pieces and other times it’s just small bits of metal that need fixing up. We try to keep the workflow moving so things don’t pile up too much in the yard. The heat in Rajkot can be a bit much in the summer months but the work has to get done regardless. We mostly just focus on the drawings and making sure the measurements are right before we start cutting anything. People from around the neighborhood know the location well enough. It’s a practical setup and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local steel shop. There's always plenty of scrap metal lying around and the floors are never really clean for long. That’s just the reality of fabrication work. We just stick to what we know and keep the machines running every day.
