Over at Street No 12 in the Yogeshwar Society, you'll find us at Matry Iron Steel & Brass Parts Trading Company. Being in the Atika Industrial Area means we are surrounded by workshops and other traders all day. We mostly focus on moving metal parts, whether they are made of iron, steel, or brass. The shop is more like a working storage space than anything else. We have rows of heavy shelving and it’s usually quite dark inside until we get the big lights on. It’s a dusty place because of all the metalwork happening nearby. We get a lot of local workers coming in looking for specific sizes of bolts or scrap pieces for their projects. We don't have a lot of help, so if we're in the back moving heavy crates, you might have to shout to get our attention. It’s a straightforward business. We buy things, we store them, and we sell them to people who need them. There’s no front desk or air conditioning, just a simple counter where we take care of the bills. We've stayed in this same spot because it's where all the action is for our kind of trade. We just keep our heads down and do the work, day in and day out, making sure the metal parts are ready for whoever needs them. It's a busy life but we wouldn't have it any other way right now.
