We’ve been at Shed No. 1/A for a long time now. It’s right there in Shantibhai'S Wadi, near the Jilla Garden Road. If you know the Bapunagar area, you probably know where the workshop is located. It’s a busy spot but we manage. My father started things here and now we just keep the machines running. It gets noisy inside when the work is heavy. We do all sorts of metal work and repair stuff that people bring in. Most of the guys here live nearby so they just walk to work in the morning. The shed isn't very fancy but it gets the job done. Sometimes it’s hard to find the place because of the narrow turns, but once you see the sign near the garden road you’re basically here. We handle the day to day stuff without much fuss. If a part needs fixing, we look at it and see what can be done. It’s mostly just us grinding away at the benches. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most folks just know us by word of mouth in the neighborhood. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by noon. We try to keep it organized but work gets busy. That’s just how it goes in a place like this. We are usually here early and stay until the lights go out. It's a lot of sweat and oil but it's what we know.
