Advance Steel Corporation

Our place, Advance Steel Corporation, is located on Dhebar Road (South) in the Atika area. It’s a very industrial part of town, so there is always a lot of heavy machinery and trucks around. We’ve been operating from this site for many years. We mostly deal with structural steel and different kinds of metal supplies. It’s a tough environment. The yard is usually covered in iron dust and it gets quite muddy when it rains. We have a big crane for moving the heavy stuff. Most of our day is spent loading trucks or checking the inventory that comes in. It’s not a clean job, and we don't wear suits here. We’re usually in work clothes that are stained with oil or rust. The office is just a small room where we keep the invoices and the phone. We don't have any big sales pitches. People come to us because they need steel for their projects and they know we are here on Dhebar Road. It’s a straightforward business. We have a few guys who have been with us since the beginning. We know how to handle the metal and get it loaded safely. The traffic in Atika can be pretty bad, especially with all the big lorries. We just work around it. It’s a noisy, busy place, but it suits us just fine. We just try to get the orders right and keep things moving.
