Varun Travels

Varun Travels is run straight out of House Number 1415 in Saraswati Colony. Being here in Jabalpur, we get a lot of people looking to travel around Madhya Pradesh. The office is basically a room at the front of the house where we keep the computer and the keys. My day usually starts with checking the vehicles parked outside on the street. Saraswati Colony is a nice enough place, mostly families, so it stays fairly quiet except when we’re heading out for a trip. I handle the bookings and talk to the customers about their routes. It’s a lot of coordination between the drivers and the families who need a ride. Sometimes the roads around Jabalpur get messy during the monsoon, so I have to spend extra time on the phone explaining delays. We’ve been at this address for a good bit now and the neighbors don't mind the cars. It’s a simple life, really. I drink my tea while looking over the schedule for the week. We don't have any flashy brochures or a big office building. It’s just us at home, taking calls and making sure people get where they need to go. Every now and then, a customer will stop by to pay in person and we’ll sit and talk for a bit about their travels. It’s just how we do things here in this part of Jabalpur.
