Hotel Kanishka, Raipur

We have been running Hotel Kanishka at Gurunanak Chowk on Station Road for quite a while now. Being right there in Raipur, it gets busy because of the trains and people coming in and out of the city. We are not a big fancy place but we keep things running every day. If you are walking down Station Road, you will see us there. It is a loud area sometimes but that is just how it is near the chowk. We spend a lot of time just making sure the rooms are ready and talking to travelers who are passing through Chhattisgarh. Most people come here because we are close to the main station. It saves them a long walk or a rickshaw ride when they are tired from their trip. We don't have those big fancy lobbies you see in movies. It is just a building where people sleep and move on. My staff and I have seen the city change around us over the years. Raipur is growing fast but Station Road stays pretty much the same with all the traffic and shops. We try to keep the fans and lights working properly since the weather here gets really hot in the summer months. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, but we fix it when guests tell us. It is just a regular job for us, looking after this place at Gurunanak Chowk. We see all kinds of people, from workers to families visiting relatives nearby.
