Boutique Travels

We run Boutique Travels out of Raipur. It’s a local business that we started because we liked the idea of helping people plan their trips. We aren't a huge agency with a call center, it’s just us in a small office. Most of our day is spent looking at train schedules and checking hotel prices to see what’s available. Raipur is our home, and we know the area pretty well, which helps when people ask for advice on where to go. We handle a lot of local travel, but sometimes we book things further away too. The office is usually a bit messy with brochures and notes scribbled on pads of paper. We don't use fancy software, just the usual websites and our own notebooks. People come by to sit and chat about their vacation ideas, and we try to figure out something that fits. It’s nice to hear about where people want to go and what they want to see. Sometimes things go wrong with bookings, and we have to spend hours on the phone trying to fix it. That’s just part of the travel business. We don’t have a big sign outside, just our name on the door. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when it’s holiday season and everyone wants to leave town at the same time. We just take it one day at a time and try to be helpful to anyone who walks in. It gets hot here, so the fan is always on throughout the day.
