Chhattisgarh Tourism Board

Our office is located at Paryatan Bhawan on G.E. Road. Being the tourism board, we are the ones who handle the information and planning for visitors coming to see our state. The building is pretty easy to find if you are driving down the main road. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, maps, and people working on projects to help promote different spots around Chhattisgarh. We spend a lot of time looking at photos of forests and temples, and trying to figure out how to make it easier for people to visit them. It’s a typical office environment where we deal with a lot of administrative tasks and paperwork. We don't really do the "hard sell" on tourism; we just want people to know what’s available if they decide to explore. Sometimes we have people walking in looking for brochures or directions, and we do our best to help them out. The staff here knows the state pretty well, and we often talk about the different festivals or hidden places we’ve seen ourselves. G.E. Road is always busy, so there’s a lot of noise from the traffic outside, but inside we just focus on our daily routines. It’s about keeping the information updated and making sure the local tourism sites are being managed as they should be for whoever comes to visit. We sometimes run out of the most popular maps, but we always find a way to help out.
