Ultratech Cement Limited, Hirmi Cement Works, Hirmi(C.G.)

We are located at F-344 in the HCW Township, which is part of the Hirmi Cement Works in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Being in the township means we are right where the action is. This is an Ultratech Cement Limited site, and we are quite far from the busy parts of the city. The township has its own way of life, with families living in the various blocks and the kids playing outside in the evenings. Our office handles a lot of the local coordination for the Hirmi operations. It is a basic setup with some old desks and plenty of files. The Chhattisgarh sun can be really intense, so the township feels quite still during the middle of the day. We spend most of our time dealing with the logistics of the cement works and managing the needs of the township residents who work for the company. It is a lot of routine work, like checking schedules and making sure the maintenance is kept up. There is a sense of being in our own little world out here. We do not have much in the way of city amenities nearby, so we have to be organized about everything. It is a quiet, hardworking place where everyone knows everyone else. We just try to keep the wheels turning and make sure the cement production stays on schedule without any major hiccups that might slow down the whole operation.
