Restaurant Manager

I've been working here as the restaurant manager in Sonepur, right near the Raighar police station for a while now. This part of Nabarangpur in Orissa gets quite busy during the afternoons when people come in for a quick bite or some tea. We mostly focus on getting the food out on time and making sure the tables are wiped down properly before the next group arrives. Sometimes the supply trucks are late because of the roads, so we have to adjust the menu a bit. It is a simple setup really. I spend most of my day checking on the kitchen staff and making sure we don't run out of rice or spices. The locals around here know us well and they usually stop by to chat about the weather or what's happening in the district. It’s not a fancy place but we keep it clean. Working in Raighar means you get to see all sorts of people passing through. I usually start my shift early to check the inventory and stay until the last customer leaves in the evening. There is always something to fix or a new order to place with the local vendors. It's just honest work keeping the place running smoothly every day. We don't do much advertising, people just know where we are located near the P.S. and come in when they're hungry. It’s a decent life here in this corner of Orissa.
