Dev Travel

Dev Travel is tucked away in Purani Basti, right near Turi Hatri here in Raipur. We run things out of Mr. Vk Mishra’s house, number 49/369. It’s a pretty busy area with a lot of old buildings and narrow streets, but everyone around here knows where to find us. Usually, I’m sitting at the desk answering calls about bus timings or car rentals for trips across Chhattisgarh. Some days are slow and I just sit on the porch watching the traffic go by, but other days the phone won't stop ringing. We keep our logbooks manually for the most part because it’s easier to keep track of who is going where. The house is old but it stays cool in the summer heat which is a relief. People from the neighborhood often drop by just to ask about ticket prices or to tell us they’re planning a family wedding soon. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything, just the address that people follow. It gets a bit noisy being near the market area but that's just how life is in this part of town. My job is basically making sure the drivers show up on time and that the cars have enough fuel for the long hauls. It’s a small operation but we stay busy enough to keep things moving day in and day out. It is just a regular local business helping folks get around.
