Chhattisgarh Tourism Board ,Raipur

The Chhattisgarh Tourism Board office we are at is in Gudhiyari, Raipur. We are located at Mr. R.N. Tiwari’s place in Janta Colony. It is a regular neighborhood, not some big government plaza. We spend our time surrounded by maps of the state and brochures for different districts. There is so much to see in Chhattisgarh, from waterfalls to old temples. We try to help people figure out where they want to go. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and answering the same questions about road conditions and hotels. The office can get a bit cluttered with all the travel guides and posters. Gudhiyari is a crowded part of Raipur, so there is always noise from the street. We’ve been here for a while and the locals know where to find us. It’s a small team, so everyone does a bit of everything. One minute you are talking to a traveler, and the next you are fixing the printer. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a practical space in a residential colony. We like being part of the community here. It’s an honest way to work, just telling people about the places we know and helping them plan their trips across the state. We’ve seen the tourism grow slowly over the years and it is nice to be a part of it.
