Our place, CG Tours & Travel, is over at A-7 in Sector 01, Shanker Nagar. It’s a pretty easy spot to get to in Raipur, and the 492007 pincode is one we write down a dozen times a day. The office is usually a bit of a mess with brochures and printouts scattered on the tables. We spend a lot of our time on the phone, talking to drivers or checking if a hotel has a spare room. It can be stressful when a bus is late or a plan changes at the last minute, but that’s just how the travel business goes. We have a few computers that have seen better days, yet they get the job done. The staff here likes to joke around to keep the mood light, especially when the afternoon heat makes everyone feel a bit sleepy. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to tell us how to dress. We just wear what’s comfortable and focus on the task at hand. Shanker Nagar is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming through the windows. We like being in the middle of it all. Sometimes we have tea together in the morning before the first customers show up. It is a simple, hardworking environment where we just try to get people where they need to go without making things more difficult than they need to be.
