Akash Travels

Akash Travels is based at B-16 in Shanker Nagar, Raipur. It is a straightforward little office where we handle all sorts of travel arrangements. We don’t have any fancy neon signs or anything like that. Instead, we have a simple board outside and a few desks inside that have been with us for years. The walls are mostly bare, except for a calendar and a few maps that we actually use. Most of our day is spent looking at screens and trying to find the best routes for people. It is a lot of back-and-forth on the phone, sometimes in Hindi and sometimes in English, depending on who is calling. Shanker Nagar is a good location because it is central, but the traffic right outside our door can be a bit much during rush hour. We usually have a pot of tea going in the back for when we need a break. We are just a few regular folks who know a lot about buses, trains, and planes. We don't try to sell people things they don't need. If a flight is too expensive, we tell them. It is all about being practical and helping our neighbors get to where they are going. The office gets a bit crowded when more than three people come in at once, but we make it work. It’s just a normal day-to-day operation here, nothing more and nothing less.
