Spice N Grill

Our place, Spice N Grill, is in Shop No 14 of the SAI Saavli Co Operative Housing Society. That’s in Sector 19 of Kharghar. If you’re looking for us, we are right behind the Reliance Fresh, which is where most people in the neighborhood do their grocery shopping. Being inside a housing society gives us a very local feel. We know most of our customers by name because they live in the buildings right above us or just down the street. It’s a small shop, so things can get a bit tight during the dinner rush. We have a grill going most of the time, and you can usually smell the smoke from the parking lot. My wife helps with the billing and I oversee the kitchen. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks; we just put a small sign outside. Kharghar is a quiet area compared to the rest of Mumbai, which we like. The staff lives nearby too, so it feels like a neighborhood project. We have our bad days, like when the power goes out or a machine breaks, but we just deal with it. We don't promise anything other than a decent meal in a clean chair. It’s not a corporate chain, just a small business trying to get by in Navi Mumbai. We keep the music low and the food hot, and that seems to work for the folks in Sector 19.
