New Punjab Family Restaurant and Bar

At New Punjab Family Restaurant and Bar, we sit right on M G Road along the Old Mumbai Pune Highway. This part of Panvel is always moving because of the highway traffic. You can hear the big trucks going by all day and night. We have been here in Old Panvel for a bit now. The restaurant has a bar side too, so things can get a little loud in the evenings when people are winding down after work. It’s not the quietest place but it has a good energy. We usually start the day by sweeping out the front and getting the bottles lined up. The kitchen starts smelling like onions and spices pretty early on. We get a mix of families coming in for a meal and then the guys who just want a drink on the way home. Being in Navi Mumbai - 410206 means we deal with a lot of humidity. The fans are always spinning at full speed to keep the air moving. We have some old posters on the walls and the furniture is heavy wood. It’s not a modern place with glass and chrome, just a regular spot where you can sit down. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use the lanterns for a bit. We don't mind. It's just part of running a place out here in Panvel. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss or worry about being fancy. We just serve the drinks and the food and try to get home before it's too late.
