La Casa School

We are located in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, right in the 400706 area. The school has been here for a while now. Most of the staff live nearby, so we know the neighborhood pretty well. It is a simple place with classrooms and a bit of space for the kids to run around during their breaks. Mornings are usually the busiest time when parents drop their children off and the whole street gets full of cars and rickshaws. We don't have anything too fancy here, just the basic stuff needed for a school. The walls have some charts and drawings made by the students over the years. Some of the fans make a bit of noise in the summer, but we try to keep things running as best as we can. It gets quite hot in Navi Mumbai, so everyone looks forward to the monsoon. Our building isn't very tall, just a couple of floors where different classes sit. We keep a register at the front desk and someone is usually there to answer the phone if it rings. The kids bring their lunch boxes and eat together in the halls. It’s a normal school day for us every day. We see the same faces every morning and it feels like a small community here in Nerul. Nothing much changes except the children growing up and moving on to other things after they finish their time with us.
