Our group is located in Raghupur, right here in the Rae Bareli area. We operate out of Avdhesh Narain’s house, which is Number 113. It is a very familiar spot for the local farmers who live in this part of the district. We are not a big city company with a lot of money. We are just a bunch of guys from the village who decided to work together as a producer company. It is mostly about making sure we all get the seeds and tools we need for the fields without a lot of trouble. The office is basically just a room with some chairs and a heavy wooden table where we keep the big register books. You will not find any bright signs or shiny glass windows here. It is just Raghupur life as we know it. We talk about the seeds, the rain, and who is selling what at the market. Rae Bareli can be a busy place, but out here in the village, it stays pretty calm until it is harvest time. That is when things get very hectic at House 113. We do all our own bookkeeping, which takes a lot of time because none of us are really experts at that kind of thing. We just learn it as we go along. It is better than it used to be when we all worked alone. Now we have each other to lean on when the farming gets tough. It’s just honest work by local people.
