Down at Katra Chauraha in Jais, there is a little spot where we run Berara Vashishtha Natural Farming Producer Company Limited. We are located in the Rae Bareli district, and we have been focusing on the natural side of things for a while now. Natural farming is a bit slower and takes more effort than the usual way, but it feels better to us. We don't use the heavy chemicals that some other places might. Instead, we spend more time looking at the soil and using what the earth gives us. The office is cared for by Kanhaiya Lal, and it is a simple place where we meet up to talk about the fields in Berara. Rae Bareli-229304 is home for us, and we know these roads and hills pretty well. It is a producer company, so it is really about the people around here joining together. We are not interested in looking like a big corporation. We would rather be known for having dirt under our fingernails and knowing how to grow things without messing with nature too much. Sometimes the harvest is smaller than we want, and sometimes it is great. That is just the risk you take when you work this way. We just keep our heads down and keep trying to do things the old-fashioned way because it makes sense to us.
