Purbabardhaman Farmers Producer Company Limited

Starting out in Kuricha village was a big step for us farmers here in Purba Bardhaman. Most of us have been working the land around Plot No-419 for as long as we can remember. It gets pretty busy during the harvest season. We decided to come together as Purbabardhaman Farmers Producer Company Limited because it’s easier to handle things as a group. Our office is right near Chakbamangoria. It is not some fancy building, just a place where we sit and talk about seeds, weather, and what needs doing next. Sometimes the rains are late and things get stressful, but having a group helps. We aren't doing anything flashy here. We just grow what we know and try to get it to the right places without too much trouble. My cousin usually handles the paperwork while the rest of us are out in the fields. It’s hard work, and the sun gets really hot in this part of West Bengal, but this is our home. People know where to find us if they need to talk about the local crops. We keep things simple and try to help each other out when someone’s tractor breaks down or the market prices are acting strange. It's just a bunch of neighbors working together to keep the farms going. We spend most days checking on the soil and making sure the water reaches every corner of the plots. It is a quiet life in Bardhaman but we stay busy. We have a lot of dirt on our boots.
