Monteswar Block Krishikranti Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our place is at Sadhan Kumar Kar’s house in Monteswar, which is over in the Bhatar area of Bardhaman. Being a Krishikranti farmers producer company means we are right in the middle of the agricultural action. Bardhaman is famous for its rice and other crops, so there is never a dull moment for us. We spend a lot of our time coordinating with different farmers in the Monteswar block. It can be a bit of a headache sometimes, trying to get everyone on the same page, but we make it work. We aren't a big corporation with suits; we are just guys who know how to work the land and want to help our neighbors do the same. The office is really just a room where we keep our files and meet up after a long day in the fields. Some of us have known each other since we were kids, so the work environment is very casual. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the door is open, you just walk in and see who is there. We deal with whatever comes our way, whether it's a pest problem or just needing to find a better way to transport our goods. It’s hard work and the sun can be brutal in the summer, but this is our home and this is what we do. We just keep going because the farming cycle never stops.
