You can find us at Hemanta Barman’s place in Barman Para, over in Paschim Kathal Bari. Kathalbari Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically a group of us who live and work in this village. We are all about the farming life here. It’s not a fancy business with big offices and suits. We mostly meet up in the evenings after the work in the fields is done to discuss what needs to happen next. Whether it's sorting out who needs seeds or figuring out the transport for the latest crop of vegetables, there's always something to do. Being a producer company means we try to pool our resources, which helps since doing everything alone is too hard. We don't have a big marketing plan or a polished image. We’re just regular people from Kathalbari who know how to grow things. Sometimes the market isn't great, or the weather ruins a crop, and we just have to deal with it and move on to the next thing. Our office at Hemanta’s is small and practical, filled with the sounds of the village. We focus on the day-to-day tasks that keep our farms running. We don't use complicated words or make big promises we can't keep. It's just honest work and trying to make a living from the land. We know everyone in the area, and they know us. That's the way we like to keep things—simple, local, and focused on the actual farming work.
